Hi Logifuse, I need some help. I just moved into a rented duplex in South Coogee Sydney and I can't get any decent TV reception. What can I do given that I am renting? Any advice? I'd appreciate your help. Kindest regards, Natasha

Hey Logifuse. Are you aware of a problem with the classified section? I can see my ad listed as the last post but I click on it and says it's invalid. Cheers Michael

Hi, my name is Brian and have a few questions if you have the time. I'm looking at getting the M3N78-EM matx version plus 4850e etc. From what I have researched the 8300 chipset does a better job at decoding Blu-ray giving smooth motion in panning scenes. Will it matter if my Plasma does not support 24fps (it supports 720p 50/60Hz which does not devide evenly with 24fps) Basically I'm after smooth playback which the 780 ATI chipset won't do. Thanking you if you have the time. Regards, Brian

hi there logifuse. i'm the guy who built his htpc basically using the same parts as you did. thought you might be a good source of info. when i first put my specs up you said i should update my bios. is that as simple downloading the latest one from the website and double clicking the "rom" file? i also havent been able to find options for the digital video outputs in the nvidia control panel so i'm stuck with vga output at the moment. did you have a similar problem? is this a bios thing? finally again in the nvidia control panel i cant figure out how to set it to 1080p. sorry to be a dunce. cheers allan

Hello Justin, I saw your post about the 8600gt and the ycbcr option. I have an msi card with an 8600gt chip, connected to a sharp aquos, via a dvi to hdmi converter, with all 29 pins. I can not get this option for digital color format, but always have only rgb as an option. Blu-ray quality is not great at all , except for CG movies (e.g. kung fu panda) which look awesome. Can you help me activate the digital color format, or increase my movie playback quality? Thanks! Mike

Hey mate is there a way to remove the frequency switcher from my system? Its works great your little app but i can not get it to go back to 50hz, i had set it to 60hz for some mkv's and they looked great. But now every time i start vmc it reverts back to 60hz all the time and its driving me nuts. Any help would be great.

I have the same setup as you do... M3N78-EMH HDMI and AMD 4850e. I cannot get smooth Blu Ray playback...I've tried a number of driver versions but all (with varying degrees of severity) make my screen flash/flicker. I am using HDMI connected to the on-board 820...this is a must for me. Can you recommend a driver that will enable me to play Blu Ray in PowerDVD (I have both 7.3 and 8 Ultra) with smooth playback? Also did you tweak the motherboard at all to make yours work? I'm pulling my hair out the last few weeks to make this work...so any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, /mdg.
