Hi All

I have an problem with my Window 7 HTPC, on start-up it appear that my media centre has no sound, but this is periodic. I am running the sound/Video via HDMI through to my Pioneer Amp then through to the Panasonic Plasma

Sometimes switching between inputs on Plasma fixes issue but then sometime turning off the amp and back on again fixes it but i dont like to do this. Restarting the PC is guaranteed to fix the issue.

I have updated the drivers to the latest but i am unable to pinpoint the exact problem

If anyone else has experienced similar problems would appreciate any advice

Thanks

G

Hi, I'm not sure if this will help but try turning on the plasma then the amp, if the pc is running it should detect the wakeup of the amp with the tv already active.
Unfortunately if there is a detection problem you may still have a look into how your graphics card detects the amp.
You may have to run the hdmi video direct to the plasma and a separate spdif audio (coax or optical) to the amp.
That way the graphics card can detect and setup for the plasma and you can still enjoy the surround sound from the amp.
Good luck.
