Hi guys,
Having some issues with overscan with my new HTPC. i3 with a H77 board, using the onboard HDMI output. Connected through a Marantz SR5001 to a Samsung Plasma from 2010
All works fine when set to 1080/60p. but when i change it to 1080/50p, I get overscan... and AFAIK, intel drivers don't have any overscan settings. It's weird that it only happens at 50hz and not 60hz. (btw, 24hz also has overscan issues).
I'm thinking of getting a HDMI detective - this might solve the issue (but i need to solve my sound issue where i need to power cycle the amp after turning the tv on). Possibly i could steal the EDID off something else to make it work properly.
anyone have any suggestions or had the same/similar issue?
thanks!
