Hello.
I have a general question about PVR Function on a LG3D Tv.
Recently my HTPC has developed a Fault and is awaiting repair , approx 2weeks as under warrenty.

In the mean time I miss my Time shift Function and recording function so I was going to attatch my seagate external ac powered 1Tb drive to the Tv and use this, My question is:

When I connect to the Tv I recive a message that says "I will need to format the drive to DVR function and this drive can not be used on a PC again".
Does anybody know if this can be undone and if it can "how", as I do not want to loose a perfectly good drive for a temp fix.

Any Help will be great.
Regards
Ridgeau

I imaging all the message is saying is that it will format the drive in a file system that a Windows PC can't read natively (EXT4 or something). The drive manufacturer will have tools for a low level format or the like, or you'll just need to delete the partitions in drive manager & start again when you hook it back up.
