There is a tool called Media Centre Studio for editing the menus. It's a bit hard to find now - try here to download it.

I've also used Nirsoft's NirCMD command line tool to create tiles to open and close my DVD drive - not sure if you need this, but I added an 'Open DVD' and 'Close DVD' tiles to my system using this tool - NirCMD is the command line tool to open (and close) the drive tray, and MC Studio to insert the commands into the media centre menu. I then used Google image search to find PNG files of an open and closed DVD drive for my icons...

Cheers,
Jeff

Hi,

What's wrong with pressing the eject/close button on the drive?
