Hi,

I just did a clean install of Windows 7, upgrading from Vista.
I also used to use IceTV as the EPG on Vista, but am currently using the free OTE EPG of Windows 7.

I noticed three problems since I upgraded:
1. When recording a series, there doesn't seem to be a distinction between new episodes and repeats (for example the previous season of NCIS that is shown straight after the new episodes) and all episodes are recorded. I'm not sure whether IceTV previously marked episodes as repeats, which kept it from being recorded, or whether we had recorded (and deleted) the original episode on its first run, and media center recognised that.

2. When recording a series with the setting "any channel", media center records episodes that are on at the same time on mirrored channels, e.g. ABC1 and ABC21 or 7 and 70. This was not the case previously, and I really need to keep the "any channel" setting, in case a show doesn't record properly and is repeated at a later date.

3. When scheduling to record new episodes, all re-runs of the same episode get scheduled as well. For example if an episode is first aired on Monday and is repeated on Wednesday, media center schedules both recordings. I believe prior to the upgrade, media center would schedule the recording on Monday, but not for Wednesday. If however, the episode didn't successfully record on Monday, it would automatically reschedule it on Wednesday.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help.
Steve

Nobody?
The biggest problem I currently have is that it seems to record episodes on ALL channels the episode is on, even when I select a specific channel in the series settings.
For example, I tell it to record "Deal or No Deal" on Channel "7" only, however it still records on channels "7" and "70" simultaneously.
The same for SBS. I tell it to record something on SBS, but it also records on channels "33" (SBS3), "34" (SBS4), etc.

Any ideas?

Howdy.
I have had the same issues, I am lead to belive it is something to do with the information the Tv channels supply on the EPG, that Media Centre is unable to determine a repeat or first showing, Also I have noticed that if a title is changed, For example Merlin (Final episode) media Centre does not see this as part of the series request and will not record.
As to recording two channels, same show together. I decided to delete the extra channels, for example
I would delete 7 and keep 70 and so on as this is the HD channel and all the programs seem to be the same(In the country) anyway.

I hope a better solution will come along.
regards
