I have a trillion MP4 files produced by MCEBuddy 1.1 on a Win7 x64 system and I'd like to edit some of them.

I have found VideoRedo good for editing WTV files before processing with MCEBuddy, but it doesn't work for me on the MP4 files after processing. I get various error messages.

Yesterday I tried AVS Video Editor 6.1.2. It managed to produce a file, but the quality was noticeably inferior. I then got error messages on subsequent attempts and gave up. Have also tried Avidemux a while ago but couldn't get it to produce a file. Can't remember the exact problem.

I just want to do simple trimming of the start/end and maybe split a file into two and was hoping there was an editor that would produce the same quality output MP4 as the source MP4.

Anyone know of anything?

Hi suma,

i use Boilsoft video splitter and i feel is the best solution for you. I just use it for cutting the start and end of the file and sometimes to split the file into two.

Easy to use and fast.

Hi Mayankel,

I just tried Boilsoft Video Cutter v1.23 to trim an MP4 and it's pretty good. Quick and easy, no loss of quality and the shortcut keys are a big help. Just wish the program window size could be made bigger.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. I'll start using it and try the Boilsoft Splitter and Joiner packages too.

Yes, the splitter works like a charm but not the Joinner. Well, it doesn't works for me.

I don't know why but everytime i try to Join the files created with the splitter, it changes the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3...

So, please, if you have any success with this joinner, let me know it and i'll try to find the problem.

Regards :)
