Hi Guys and Girls.

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I have tried building a Myth system before but whoo what a process and a lot of head scratching. I really would be happy to use to separate programs as I have in the past with windows (analouge and dvb software) but it is time to combine it all into one.

I have been a linux user for years and stayed at user level not geek level. What I am tiring to do is set up DVB (usd working with kaffeine) I have Austar and have a Hauppauge PVR-150. The 150 was set up with VLC and worked but audio and video was out, here is the link http://forums.linuxm...hp?f=48&t=55754

How do I set up the analouge card in mythtv please.

System specs
I7 2600
4 gig ram
400 main hdd
2tb media dump hdd
onboard graphics (intel 2000)
M/B Gigabyte GA-HA65M-UD3H-B3
Blu-ray/dvd combo
2x Dual usb DVB dongles
1 Hauppauge PVR-150

Cheers
hairy

1 open setup
2 >capture cards >up/down/analog card make sure the tuner is selected and not the composite input
3 >video sources>Add >create one called fta >dont bother filling the rest out as an external program called shepherd will fix it
4 >input sources >slect your tuner and video source fta
5 > channel scan (make sure antenna is plugged in
6 exit setup and start frontend and try live tv it should work provide dchannels were picked up
7 make sure you have lots of hard drive space
8 install shepherd http://svn.whuffy.co...ki/Installation to get all your guide data.

Do you really want to use anolog for tv that will be discontinued in the next few moths or were you unclear in your description above of what you wanted to do?

If you want to use your pvr to get your austar onto your mythbox via its composite input thats more difficult but there is guide in the guides section of this forum believe it or not!
Here it is http://www.pcmediace...r-austarfoxtel/
It involves connection via composite/component or even hdmi (best) input then sending ir commands to your austar box to change its channel. when you press channel change on your htpc remote. you would need a ir blaster bead and transmitter to do this All mce /huappage remote transceivers have this.
