Folks,

Another request, I've setup a ftp server at my place just for MCEbuddy. I would request you to please upload sample video files I can use to debug issues DIRECTLY to my FTP server rather than to rapidshare or some other server. It will take 2 much time for me to download some of these but will take the same amount of time for you to upload to my server (I have a fat pipe).

FTP Server:
ramit.homeip.net

Username: mcebuddy
pwd: mcebuddy

Please name your file to help me understand it:

NAMING CONVENTION: YOURNAME_COUNTRY_FILENAME

Thank you all

BUMP - folks, can you please upload HD video samples to my server above. I have just a handful of samples and would some more from different countries.

It could be 10MB or 10GB or anything in between! :)

Thanks,
Ramit

I'd be happy to help but I'm confused. I thought .wtv files weren't able to be shared publicly? Also, I see other requests to share them over Rapidshare. Is this something we can get in trouble for (since I'm only sharing samples for troubleshooting purposes)?

I don't have any editing software to chop up a sample so I'd have to give you a complete file. I have files ranging from 2.5Gb-10Gb, on USA - Broadcast channels ABC-NBC-CBS-PBS-Fox and CW, ranging from HD 1280x720 to, well, complete crap! I have no idea which of these channels uses DRM.

Can you give me a hint on which might be viewable on your computer? Also, is there any security rights or ownership changes I need to apply? (I am a repair technician but I don't mess with video editing often.)

FYI:
Win7 SP1
Full Admin rights
No Network Shares
TV card - PCTV BDA using Mpeg (AC3 A52)

I think it's fine since we're only using for "testing" purposes after they will be deleted. Regarding hte DRm, I don't have an answer, you can just ipload the files to my ftp server, if they have drm they won't work and i'll delete them. If thye don't I can use them to test.

Again, I'm just looking for samples, so like maybe 1 hidef and 1 regular def. No need to cut them since wtv tools create more issues than solve problem, I'm okay with large filesm just nothing less than 300mb and nothing more than 7gb would be ideal.

I too am in the US, but my capture card is only SD.

OK, thanks.

After hunting around a little, it seems that it's cable premium channels that do the DRM. So no worries here. I have changed the owner to Everyone, and given Full Control to the rest. I removed any Groups specific to my computer. So Administrator is not in there (you may have to add this group.)

Hope the samples help.
