Folks,

Thanks to Derek's effort and generosity, the source code for MCEBuddy has been opened up to the public. He's done a fantastic job of putting together this neat piece of software (although it took some reengineering to understand it).
There aren't many bugs in it, but a few improvements that I'll be working on based on my own experiences and feedbacck from this forum.

I've decided to release the an intermediate BETA version that fixes 2 major issues:
1. Fixes the reordering of the segments of a show when using Comskip
2. Adds a new profile that allows for lossless convesion of WTV to MPEG-2 formats so that non-Windows devices can play it back in the same quality of recording. This will not reduce the file size to maintain the quality but also solves a problem for folks who need to stream data to TV's and other devices and also having conversion issues.

The source code and installation files can be downloaded at the following links (until I find a more permanent way to maintain them - DEREK, can you please open up access to SourceForge.net).

I'm calling it BETA19-1 since Derek's code is BETA 19 and this is just a minor improvement/bug fix over it?

Thanks for doing this - I too was having the problem with shows being put together out of order ;)

Question - did support for ShowAnalyzer get removed? After installing Beta 19-1 I no longer see ShowAnalyzer in the "remove ads" drop-down box. It was there in Beta 18.

Thanks,
Ryan

Yes Ryan,

that's true. The BETA 19 code that Derek released had removed the ShowAnalyzer libraries (something to do with GPL maybe), so I've had to disable support for it temporarily.

Until I can figure out how to get hold the libraries and integrate it into the build it'll be disable. Gimme some time to figure it out.

Meanwhile you can use comskip, it's actually very accurate when configured properly.

Look out for BETA 20, a host of new features in it :)

Ramit.

Thank you Ramit. I'll look into configuring Comskip (I moved away from it because the default settings were having trouble with some shows).

Can't wait until Beta 20!

Ryan, it's back on the table, look for support for ShowAnalyzer in BETA 21.
