The last swaggie that I know of came wandering by today. Never wants a thing, just says g'day and wanders on. I have seen him over the last three days walking out from town out towards my place. He passes every three years or so. Does about 20 km a day.

It was interesting timing as we had School Captains out from Sydney for Australia Day, our Captains go up to the smoke to return the favour. We had been showing them all the usual bush things when lo and behold we come upon the last swaggie. Even I was impressed by the timing. His name is John Cadoret and he is now quite famous in his own way.
