I have installed the beta 18 release of MCEBuddy on Windows 7 HP. In the end I want to set a file name mask to only convert specific series to be saved to a NAS device. My original attempt left me with nothing on the NAS, so I changed to a local drive for testing.

So my current setup is pretty vanilla, the destination is on a local drive, and I've tried with and without "file name match" using wild cards (i.e. Burn*.wtv for Burn Notice etc.) In the end it spends a long time appearing to do the multiple passes, but fails. Being new to MCEBuddy I'd appreciate any pointers, or any suggestions on where to look in the logs for clues as to where it is breaking.

Here is the end of a log from an attempted conversion, not sure if its pointing to a codec issue or what??

Thanks

pr1apism,

I wonder if the space in the file name is causing the problem. e.g. between Burn and Notice (Burn Notice_USAHD_2011_11_03_21_59_00.wtv) I have seen other posts in this forum complaining the MCE Buddy is failing on files with spaces in their names.

It should be simple enough to test. Just rename the file and put an underscore "_" in place of the space between Burn and Notice in the source file. e.g. Burn_Notice_USAHD_2011_11_03_21_59_00.wtv Let us know how you make out.

Also, you can keep an eye on the C:\Program Files\MCEBuddy\working0 folder while MCE Buddy is processing the file. You will see all of the temporary files being created; including the final AVI file. This way you can verify that MCE Buddy is actually processing the video.

Nick

That appears to have done the trick, I manually added a number of shows that just happen to not have spaces in the WMC filename, and the conversion is working. Haven't had time to check the files other then a quick glance but appears to be working now - even had it send the file to my NAS after the first past locally and that worked out.

Appreciate the tip

I'm receiving the exact same error message in the conversion log. Only mine issue seems to be independent of the 'space in a title' issue. I have several recordings that have spaces in the title that convert just file. It just seems to be a handful of recordings that fail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm also having the same issue as skip513. MCEBuddy worked great on several files with and without spaces but I have several it fails on every time. I've tried MP4 and AVI but both fail to remux.

This problem has been fixed in the next release MCEBuddy 2.1 Release 1

There are 2 issues for this:
1. There is a bug in the parameters code
2. The ReMux code has been rewritten to handle errors if the remuxsupp tool fails

Can anyone upload their video's for testing to the server in my signature. Also can you let me know what profile you're using.
