(cross post from the remote section, I really don't understand this forum, sorry... I just want some help)

Hi, I recently built a HTPC with a SilverStone LC16B-MR case, which came with an iMON Pad remote. The input from the remote is sporadic, to say the least - typically when I press a button, nothing happens, and it's more or less a random occurrence if or when the computer actually sees input from it even if I hold a button down. Mouse control is jittery at best, and in general, the control is utterly unusable.

So, I'm wondering: if anyone has had similar experiences, how they have dealt with the issue?

An interesting point though is that I used an old Windows Media Center remote that I got with a laptop, and set the iMON software to map to an MCE remote, and this remote works just fine. Input is read, and commands get acknowledged.
But this is an imperfect solution, as I would like the mouse and keyboard support offered by the iMON Pad.

Thanks.

p.s. I have posted on their user forums (their support doesn't seem to have a section for me to make this kind of complaint), but from the looks of things, replies to posts are as sporadic as this remote's signaling; hence the making of a thread here. I've also used some of Soundgraph's test software to confirm that I am simply not receiving a signal when I press a button most of the time.

I h ad problems using the latest version of iMon, version 8 I think so I have reloaded the previous version which works fine for me. Try loading an older version of iMon.

I had version 7x at first and when the remote didn't work, I updated to the latest version to no effect.

The remote that comes with the Imon VFD is pretty useless I found, especially in mouse mode. I have the same case and use a Harmony One. It works fine. The Harmony also has a degree of adjustment with the commands and repetition etc so you can tweek it a bit to work reliably. I also have it set to default to keyboard input not the mouse I think.

I had a iMon remote that comes with Silverstone case and I found it useless as some of the key pads were not working properly. I decided to throw it away !
