I just received a skype call, it popped up, answered it, (with my keyboard, still waiting for my remote to arrive) and when ended it just disappeared. Blew my mate away who didn't even realize we were watch tv through the computer.
Thanks for your work

Yep - mine's doing that too now. I think skype must have updated something and the COM signature must have changed. I'll see if I can get it going again.
Justed install a fresh Win7 X64 SP1 installation annd having a simliar issue where Media Centre Crashes out
Have there been any updates to this utility?

No problems, from the brief time I was messing around with it last night, it seems to crash out if live tv is on, if no media is playing it seems to be ok
If you need any logs etc please let me know.
If you do get it working, drop me a pm with a PayPal etc and I make a donation towards a carton of cold ones

Here's the new version of the Skype Media Center Buddy.
Tested with Skype 5.8.
Try it out, and if you have issues try switching on logging and PM me back any errors from the log file.
Have fun!

Tried it. Works well! The only problem I have is with pausing.
My 7MCE doesn't pause when minimised. If I press the pause button on the remote, for some reason I didn't resume when 7MC was maximised again.
Any thoughts? Any way to enforce a 'pause button' when skype call comes in by default?

Interesting.. It's supposed to (I just checked the code). I'll do some more testing on my rig and see if I can figure out what's wrong. Probably my dodgy code
So can anyone recommend a good webcam for this? Needs to mount on top of a 40in LCD TV.
Any webcam will do the trick. And a bit of blutack
I'd go for one of the ones that are certified for HD with Skype..
