@innie808,
Nice setup, great job.
The LED Wall Washers are a nice touch, any further comments on cost or viewing experience with the LEDs would be great.

cheers

Hi,

The LG 55 LW6500 is a great TV, however if you are one of these "Black level" aficionados, then you probably wont like the Edge light, which can be seen on dark scenes with bright objects.
On the upside, the TV is a fantastic Smart TV with lots of APPs, the Passive 3d is amazing, and with kids if you break a set of glasses, just get another pair from the cinemas.
We paid $2200 from good guys. It weighs 20KG so very easy to hang on the wall.
Getting the 3d to work with WMC and Arcsoft is just not happening. I have to switch the TV manually. I am looking at Nvidia PlayTV which apparently can send 3d Frame Package to the tv so it auto switches to 3d mode. Thats for a different thread.

I picked up the Wall Washer as a kit from Volta Lighting for $70. You could do it a lot cheaper if you bought a 5m roll of LED and cut up lengths etc etc. I went down the easy path for the wall washers.

Honestly, that room is begging for a Projector setup... What a stunning room!

Sorry Guys,

Been a while since I've been on here.

Here is my new setup, a replacement TV - 3D Sammy PS64D550.

MB – Gigabyte GA 880GM-USB3 mATX
