Hi,
my power management in vista which was working fantastically just stopped working :-( DOnt know why. But I thought I'd throw on hibernator but discovered it doesnt work under vista. So can someone confirm hibernator doesnt work under vista, and does anyone know of similar software that is vist compatible ??
cheers,
Cougar.

cougar,
I've never tried to run up Hibernator under Vista. Can you let me know what happens and post the log file. To be honest I didn't think there'd be a need for Vista. They seem to have fixed the majority of standby issues.
The log file can be found in the Hibernator install directory.
Cheers,
Arkay.

Unfortunately, my system wont hibernate natively in Vista anymore either.. I've set it for 20 mins idle to hibernate, and allowed it to hibernate when sharing media, but no good.
I'd like to see a working Vista version of Hibernator too, although I haven't tried load it up yet.
Incidentally, I'll be away for the next couple of weeks so sadly wont be able to test anything. I'll see how it looks when I get back though.
EDIT: Actually, just found that the media sharing was set to prevent from idling to sleep. Must have been switched off when rolling back to a previous image at some point. I'll reassess now I've allowed it to sleep when sharing.

Auldar,
I too had this setting on (under multimedia settings). Apon turning off it works again :-). So thanks for tip.
This is a bit silly though cause I really need to use this feature when I'm streaming media to the xbox 360 or laptop.
Arkay, I PMed you the log file. When I try and do the profiling part the screen just closes.
